CONCEPT STATEMENT
The concept of this design is to feature industrial styled elements as well as take
inspiration from the I’m Only Fooling Myself album cover by Eric Martin, an
artist who recorded at this location when it was the Cherokee Recording Studio.
This inspiration will guide color choices, materials, and finishes to execute both
a sophisticated and creative office space. Room placements shall utilize the loop
organizational method with client used spaces near the entrance for easy access
and concentration of natural light.

SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENT
With a sustainability focus on materials and the sourcing of those items, materials were chosen considering the Living Building Challenge requirements and regulations of that topic. To maintain this sustainable aspect per the Living Building Challenge as presented under the material petal, all wood used in the design of this office space is labeled as FSC certified (Forest Stewardship Council). Likewise under this material petal, other materials such as corrugated metal and brick used throughout the space are recycled content that reduces overall waste for this project. Fabric materials are redlist-free and the leather is sustainably sourced, as the animals are not raised for
the sole purpose of producing leather but rather it is a secondary product sourced from local farmers. Lastly, concrete is used as the primary flooring material and can be considered sustainable for its long life expectancy, its resilience, and its need for minimal upkeep and maintenance.
